Operating a vessel in these conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to onset of potentially dangerous wind and wave conditions. It is likely that many ferries will not operate so follow traffic information if travelling.

Upravljanje plovilom u tim uvjetima zahtijeva veliko iskustvo te adekvatno opremljena plovila. Preporučljivo je da pomorci bez odgovarajućeg iskustva potraže sigurnu luku prije početka potencijalno opasnog vjetra i valova. Vjerojatno je da mnogi katamarani i trajekti neće ploviti pa ako putujete, pratite informacije o prometu.
